50 years after the uprisings of May 1968, a filmmaker invites a group of youths from high school in the suburbs of Paris to take part in an experiment. The youths are tasked with interpreting iconic scenes from the revolutionary films by Jean-Luc Godard & co. None of them are very active politically, but they gradually start to find their own language and can suddenly see the parallels to the crises of today. Nobody tells them what they should think or do in the open and collaborative project. The new political consciousness comes from within themselves. The question is whether theory and practice always go hand in hand? Political education and film culture in a fascinating experiment.
