Carlotta has never been able to recognise a single face – not even her own. The small area of her brain that normally decodes faces is functioning differently, and as long as she can remember, all people have looked the same. The neuroscientist and film director Valentin Riedl visits Carlotta in her home far away from other people, but close to nature. A world where faces do not exist. But through her art, Carlotta finds a creative way to map her face, and she finds the courage to reconnect with someone she did not know she missed.
