According to the Buddhist calendar, this is already the year 2562. And in the Thai province of Krabi, we actually have the feeling that time has several layers. At least here in Anocha Suwichakornpong and Ben Rivers' enigmatic but very beautiful and evocative film, which follows a local woman who is trying to find all kinds of locations for a film that we never really hear more about. A beach, a cinema, a rock cave: every place contains traces of the phantoms of the past and promises for the future. The people she meets along the way share their own stories. The analogue 16mm film images are impressionistic to a degree that you can almost feel the moisture of the tropical climate.
