Revolver at Østerbro Teater is staging an adaptation of Halfdan Pisket's acclaimed and award-winning graphic novel about his father's journey from a boy in a small village between Turkey and Armenia to a soldier who deserts the Turkish army and ends up a tortured prisoner and subsequently a criminal family father in Copenhagen. With scenographic projections inspired by the graphic novel, Revolver's performance is based on the trilogy's first part, 'Desertør'. Here, we meet the young deserter, James Pisket, in a Turkish military prison. While he is sitting there, he thinks back to his village and his youth. Presented in collaboration with CPH:DOX.
