Citizen Science #2: Kaspar

Show trailer
Can artificial intelligence create art and edit a documentary in real time? See for yourself, when we make an attempt and follow it up with a panel discussion.

The interactive installation 'Kaspar/Reflector' explores the potential role of machines in documentary film montage. We witness how artificial intelligence edits a film in real time from rushes of an unfinished documentary by Oscar nominee James Longley. A panel consisting of Mads Damsbo (producer, Makropol), Piotr Winiewicz (artist, Kaspar), Maja Horst (professor of responsible technology), Denniz Göl Berthelsen (documentary film editor) and Tonje Hessen Schei (documentary director) will discuss the ethical considerations and the future for man/machine collaborations.

Note: The event has previously been announced with a starting time at 2.30 PM. The correct starting time is 3.30PM.
